This area fills up quickly on July 4th. Parking is best west of Rosecrans and then walk or take the shuttle, Old Towne Trolley, from the West Marine parking lot. Don’t park in their parking lot but find space on the streets around West Marine. The Old Towne Trolley shuttle can take you out to Shelter Island and drop you off around the circle as you enter the island. Pick up after the show is in the same location. Walking is a good option after noon on July 4th to Shelter Island. Please be patient as the attendance will be very large.
Parking along San Diego Bay fills up quickly and Shelter Island is usually full by 1 p.m. Last year, Shelter Island was closed to incoming traffic at 1 p.m. It is expected to close at about the same time this year. Harbor Island usually fills up by 5 p.m. Once all parking is taken there, the Harbor Police will close it.

All shuttles will begin departing from designated parking lots at 6 p.m. and will run continuously until passengers have been taken to their respective destinations.
Old Town Trolley Shuttle – From Shelter Island, shuttle pick up will be at the corner of Carleton Street and Rosecrans Street in Point Loma, adjacent to West Marine. After the Show
There is one pick-up spot. On Shelter Island, riders should meet the shuttle at the Shelter Island Gazebo.
The first shuttles will leave shortly after the fireworks show. Please be patient while waiting for additional shuttles as the wait time may be significant. The final shuttle run from the islands will be at 11 p.m.
