Big Bay Boom on live TV to 20 million viewers

On July 4, 2014, San Diego Bay will light up with the annual Port of San Diego Big Bay Boom July 4th Fireworks Show to benefit the Armed Services YMCA.  This will be the 14th annual show that provides spectacular fireworks to over 500,000 viewers around San Diego Bay at 9pm on July 4th.

This year the event is being elevated to a new level. For the first time, over 20 million people from Ventura to LA to Riverside to San Diego to Baja, Mexico, will be able to view the show live on television.  Fox5 (San Diego) and KTLA (Los Angeles) will start their live programing at 8:00pm and run through the show to 9:30pm. The show will also have choreographed music on THE WALRUS 105.7FM.

Sandy Purdon, Executive Producer/Founder of the Big Bay Boom, has promised another fantastic show and adds, “thanks to the folks at Fox5 and KTLA we are able to reach a huge audience with our message of celebration for our nation’s birth.  And we will be able to honor and financially support again our military families and wounded warriors who get great support from the Armed Services YMCA.”

The Port of San Diego is again the title sponsor of the Big Bay Boom and their support along with many of the San Diego Port Tenants will provide the backdrop of services and entertainment for the hundreds of thousands of visitor over the July 4th holiday.  People should visit the Big Bay Boom website for viewing information, transportation options, official hotels, restaurants, dinner cruises, and other events during the festivities.
